I think Larry in this movie, and everyone in the world, would like to have a moral guarantee that if they're a good person they will be duly rewarded, you know if they were not selfish, and did the things they're supposed to do, then their lives wouldn't be touched by inexplicable tragedies. But the fact of the matter is, as history has showed us again and again, there are no guarantees.
