Spielberg edited War Horse on Avid – Spielberg said that his problem with the Avid is that it's too fast. He said that what he loves about film was that it gives you these 30 or 45 minute walks between notes and when you have to come back to see the result of your notes, when the editor and the assistants are all hacking and chopping and taping. He said he loves to walk around the lot and think about his decisions, and really confront the results of those decisions in his head.
